Smart, safe and precise
Darmstadt, December 2017 – The second generation of Schenck RoTec's Pasio universal balancing machine is setting multiple standards. The new Pasio 50SC is not only easy to operate but also boasts excellent measuring precision.
The machine has been developed for use in production and repair. The Pasio 50SC is designed for processing cylindrical and disc-shaped rotors with weights of up to 50 kg. Users in electrical engineering, fluid technology or the automotive industry can balance rotors with diameters of up to 600 mm, for example crankshafts, electric armatures, pump rotors or fans and grinding discs.
Schenck RoTec, a subsidiary of the Dürr Group, developed the Pasio 50SC based on the principles 'smart', 'safe' and 'precise'. The machine's simple commissioning and low space requirement, as well as its easy integration into the customer's networks and production control systems make the Pasio 50SC a 'smart' all-in-one-solution. 'Safe' stands for the digital servo drive, fast self-diagnosis and strong protective cover in accordance with ISO 21940-23 (Class C). The principle 'precise' manifests itself in the excellent measuring precision offered by the new Pasio 50SC, achieving residual unbalances of less than 0.5 gmm per plane. The very high unbalance reduction ratio ensures that many rotors are in tolerance in the first measuring run.
Schenck RoTec offers two measuring instrument options for its new machines: the CAB 820 basic measuring instrument and the innovative CAB 920 SmartTouch. The measuring units' software interface guides the user through the balancing process securely and accurately – from clamping the rotor through to correcting the unbalance. Since the entire design of the new Pasio 50SC has been consistently designed based on ergonomic aspects, all working areas can be accessed easily and comfortably and all manual operations can be carried out quickly. This is not only conducive to safety; it also makes the processes more efficient.
As is the case with all Schenck RoTec balancing machines, the new Pasio 50SC is also part of a comprehensive service and support system. The Darmstadt-based company thus ensures maximum on-site availability of its systems.
