EcoScreen 3D-OnSite: increased performance and speed
Bietigheim-Bissingen, October 2016 – EcoScreen 3D-OnSite is the name of Dürr's 3D visualization and programing software. It was designed for creating and processing robot programs, parameterizing the associated process data, and simulating the entire robot cell. The new version can also be used for existing systems. It offers additional features such as the import of models in all major CAD formats, a new 3D library as well as enhanced diagnostics and analysis functions. A beta test is scheduled at VW in Wolfsburg for the beginning of next year.
EcoScreen 3D-OnSite combines all parameterization, programing, simulation and optimization functions of Dürr's EcoRP and EcoRS application robots in a single toolbox. The software is part of the smart factory concept, which forms one of the pillars of the "digital@DÜRR" strategy. Thanks to its comprehensive simulation functions, EcoScreen 3D-OnSite speeds up the commissioning process. Path and process parameters can be changed either during ongoing production or offline.
The redesigned user interface enables fast and easy access to all relevant information. It facilitates programing and makes parameterization easy to learn. Those familiar with the previous version will quickly recognize a number of elements.
Work conveniently in a 3D environment
With the current version of the EcoScreen 3D-OnSite, Dürr includes a modern 3D graphics library. This has led to a significant increase in performance compared to the previous software. Higher performance in turn leads to greater efficiency and the software facilitates work in a 3D environment, displays CAD models even with a high degree of detail, and offers reliable collision monitoring as well as quick single and multi-robot simulation.
The new 3D graphics library provides enhanced possibilities for accessing and displaying CAD data. Many CAD formats can be used without the need for conversion, and the range of functions for offline programing can be extended. New kinematics, doors, hoods, cells and interfering contours can also be modeled.
The application framework of the EcoScreen 3D-OnSite is based on a modular system and ensures a uniform operating concept. The functions for parameterization, programing and simulation, for example, can be tailored to the customer's requirements – and there is even room for more ideas.
