Maximum production efficiency in the age of Industry 4.0
Bietigheim-Bissingen, March 2017 – The digital transformation has been in full swing at Dürr for some time now. "Leading in Production Efficiency" is the claim according to which Dürr is developing solutions for digitized production. Completely networked production facilities and big data analytics are providing customers with new potentials for optimizing efficiency.
In the following film, Dürr sets out its digital strategy digital@DÜRR, which is based on four pillars: Smart Products, Smart Services, Smart Factories, and Smart Processes.
The film shows, for example, how a complete paint shop is tested in the engineering phase using 3D simulation and how weaknesses can be eliminated even before they occur. This is basis for fast commissioning. You will also see how software is used to indicate when maintenance is required for a rotational dip coating system and how remote diagnosis is employed to determine the repair requirements of a balancing machine from Schenck quickly and independent of the plant's location.
