Three metropolises and huge emotions
Bietigheim-Bissingen, December 2015 – As the lights go out, the tension mounts: seeing their own film on a huge silver screen for the very first time, accompanied by numerous viewers, is an exciting and emotional highlight for every movie maker. It goes without saying that the 15 contestants of the Dürr Challenge were excited when they presented their works before an audience of about 200 at the "Caligari" cinema in Ludwigsburg (Germany). This already was the third time that Dürr sent students from all over Germany out into the world.
Part of their luggage included camera equipment and a mission: shooting a video sequence on the subject “Create Emotions”. The world this year comprised Singapore, Madrid and Toronto. Three outstanding films originated in the process. In the end, the Singapore team stole the show.
“The contest is unique in Germany and a key measure for Dürr to get into conversation with students of all disciplines,” explains Paul Eckert, Head of Personnel Development at Dürr. And the context is the perfect match for the corporate culture of Dürr. After all, in the context of everyday work, personal initiative, innovation and intercultural understanding and skills are key.
