x-DASalign ensures safety
Püttlingen, March 2016 – Driver assistance systems (DAS) have become increasingly important in the context of debates on "autonomous driving" in recent years – a trend which is set to continue. The x-DASalign test stand by Dürr Assembly Products is designed for the thorough testing and accurate calibration of driver assistance systems. And this ensures safety on the road.
Dürr Assembly Products has been working with the manufacturers of driver assistance systems for a long time in order to address customer needs even during the development phase. In discussions with carmakers and suppliers, future trends and requirements can be identified early on, feeding directly into the design of the test stands.
The x-DASalign test stand for driver assistance systems can be expanded to include modular components, thus making it extremely flexible and easy to equip for the testing, adjustment and calibration of all standard driver assistance systems, including:
– proximity radar for cruise control or emergency brake assist systems
– night vision assistant and adaptive light systems
– lane departure warning system
– rear-view and/or surround-view systems
– lane-change assistant
Laser triangulation or stereometry measuring sensors are used to measure body height and symmetry as well as chassis parameters, which are taken into consideration when calibrating the sensors. With its x-line automation software and products for ECU communication, Dürr Assembly Products offers flexible control for individual test stand components and tasks.
The calibration targets and systems of the DAS test stands can be checked quickly and efficiently by means of specially designed adjustment gauges. x-DASalign performs the different calibration processes on the vehicle assistance systems in fully automated testing procedures – quickly, efficiently and without the need for an operator.
x-DASalign is part of the "Passenger Vehicle Testing" product line by Dürr Assembly Products. It also includes test stands for wheel alignment measurement, headlight adjustment and end-of-line roll/brake/ABS testing.
