A fast and trouble-free spare parts service is a key element in reaching this target: That is why Dürr provides fast and reliable support to the customer – tailored to the individual plant design.
A paint shop contains approx. 50,000 function-related parts. Despite accurate quality inspections and utmost care it is therefore possible now and again for a part to stop working. Dürr provides for this risk: Our spare parts service is an integral part of every project from the outset.
Of the 50,000 parts mentioned above, there are still 3,000 to 4,000 different parts after taking account of the duplications. Dürr lists these individually for each order, arranged in clear fashion according to their installation location in the system. That gives the customer the greatest possible transparency and helps in setting up a cost-effective spare parts warehouse – which is important when it comes to preventing production downtime.
More than 50 employees from the Paint and Final Assembly Systems and Application Technology sections advise customers worldwide – either on the ground or by phone. This begins with the original equipment for a new system and extends to locating alternatives in the case of old systems whose components are no longer available. Dürr’s spare parts service is available to the customers for the entire life cycle of a system.
A standardized numbering code for quotation and order management purposes is just as obvious a requirement for handling an order efficiently as including customer data on delivery notes and on labels accompanying the goods. The adept operation of the customers’ supplier platforms is becoming more and more important, as is Dürr employees’ logistical skills, in ensuring that a consignment reaches its destination as quickly as possible.
With the aid of a pick-and-pack program, each individual consignment is captured using a barcode and checked multiple times before leaving the company. Delivery reliability and consistently high delivery quality are fundamental to customer satisfaction. To guarantee this at all times, Dürr holds approx. 20,000 parts in stock.
