State-of-the-art test stand for pumps from Dürr
Bietigheim-Bissingen, May 2015 – Using a new, state-of-the-art test stand, Dürr controls the pressure and tightness of its pumps for material supplies in conformity with DIN EN 12162. The 100% functionality of these products in the field of application technology is documented by means of test protocols. Accordingly, customers can rest assured that mechanical problems can be ruled out on their pumps.
To this end, Dürr has developed a number of pump types that do justice to the challenging and wide variety of conveyor tasks in the field of paint and sealing material applications. The various working methods and drives are suitable for materials of different qualities. As a result, the pumps cover a very wide range of application options in various industry segments.
The three construction series are available in different sizes:
The horizontal EcoPump HP is equipped with an energy-efficient pressurized air motor. It was primarily conceptualized and developed to transport liquid materials such as water- and solvent-based paints.
While the EcoPump HPE has the same fields of deployment and is also a horizontal piston pump, it is driven by electrical power. It achieves high performance levels at lower operating costs. Both pumps operate with a pressure of up to 21 bar.
The EcoPump VP is a pneumatically driven, vertical piston pump. It is especially designed for medium and high-pressure applications. Typical materials with which it is deployed are highly viscous media such as sealing agents, adhesives, and various coating substances. All pump families are manufactured according to the proven Dürr quality standards and carry the “Made in Germany” quality hallmark. Thanks to their modular design, they are very easy to maintain.
“High performance and durability are key characteristics of our products. Before delivery to our customers, all pumps are intensively tested in accordance with the strict DIN parameters”, emphasizes Dr. Hans Schumacher, Head of Dürr’s Application Technology Division.
Fully automated tests
The modern test stand at Dürr’s headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen consists of seven test stations directly connected to the final pump assembly sections. The tests are carried out fully automatically. The results are documented by means of test protocols, and each pump bears the label “Tested in conformity with EN 12162”.
Dr. Hans Schumacher: “Our customers can be sure that they will receive a product of highest quality and reliability from us.”
