High demand for innovative paint booth concept
September 2012 – In the few months since its launch at Dürr’s 8th Open House in Bietigheim in May 2012, the EcoReBooth modular paint booth concept has attracted a lot of interest. The innovative system has already been sold to two customers.
“The trend-setting features of this system lie in its modular structure and flexibility“, says Claudia Feiner, Product Manager at EcoReBooth. “The painting line of the future has a modular design, we are convinced at Dürr. The EcoReBooth offers the perfect solution, as the individual modules can be linked together to create a complete painting line.”
This is possible due to the different arrangement of the paint shop components. Each of the EcoReBooth modules integrates the process air technology as well as Dürr’s dry separation system EcoDrySrubber. Underneath the spray booth, the EcoDryScrubber filter modules for overspray separation are placed on one side only. The available space on the other side now accommodates the air recirculation unit including fan, cooler and humidifier. All important components are therefore located at the same level, providing easy access for maintenance. In order to achieve the same capacity, the size of the EcoDryScrubber hopper has been increased and, as in the double-sided design, offers a number of proven advantages: As the system benefits from up to 95 percent air recirculation, there is little requirement for fresh air. Air conditioning is therefore virtually independent of climate and location. At the same time, the energy costs in the booth are reduced by up to 60 percent compared to a wet separation system.
In summary, the EcoReBooth stands for high space and energy efficiency. Furthermore, the system is flexible and modular. The EcoReBooth is suitable not only for use in new paint shops but also for retrofitting existing ones.
“With its space-saving and modular design, the EcoReBooth offers an attractive added value and has already been sold to two customers: once as a complete system and once with the new EcoDryScrubber hoppers in the EcoReBooth design”, summarizes Claudia Feiner. “We are pleased about the quick and positive feedback from the market and hope that things will continue in this way.”
