The new generation of solvent-based cleaning systems
September 2013 – Dürr Ecoclean will present EcoCCore, an innovative solvent-based part cleaning system, at parts2clean in Stuttgart from October 22 – 24, 2013.
Solvent-based cleaning technology can bring to bear its strengths particularly where oil-contaminated parts need to be cleaned or downstream processes such as heat treatment, welding, adhesive bonding or coating require grease-free surfaces. These applications call for cleaning solutions which deliver the specified results in a cost-effective, reliable, fast and VOC-compliant manner. In response to user needs from diverse metalworking fields such as machining, punching and bending, Dürr Ecoclean now launches its EcoCCore system.
This new machine has been developed for use with non-halogenated hydrocarbons, modified alcohols and polar solvents. However, it provides unsurpassed versatility not just when it comes to the choice of solvent but also in terms of lot sizes. Its designers placed a special focus on elevated productivity, optimized operator-friendliness, intelligent engineering design and further enhanced energy efficiency. The system's power consumption in energy-saving mode amounts to approx. 3.4 kW/h for 100 kg of steel (by comparison, the reference figure for a Universal 81C is approx. 4.3 kW/h).
In addition to these features, the new EcoCCore can boast an extensive standard equipment level and reduced space needs. Furthermore, its innovative design provides up to around 30% savings in per-unit cleaning costs.
The EcoCCore supersedes the previous 81C/P series. It will be on show at parts2clean in Stuttgart, Hall 4 - Stand 4216/4315.
